You cant tell obviously (because camera phones are quite worthless at taking pictures) but that is the Dresden Dolls in action. Man that guy can drum. And that girl has got a pretty powerful voice. Not someone to get in a fighting match with thats for sure. It felt weird to go to a show again. I think I am officially getting old. Case in point; we argued with the guy about parking and got our $5 back. Yes. thats right, we argued over $5. But that isnt even how I know we are getting old. We are getting old because he actually gave us the money back..
What a great memorial day weekend though. We did something every single night. Friday night was a dbacks game (2 posts down), they lost. Saturday night we went drinking (one post down) and saw episode 3, it sucked (the movie not the drinking) and Sunday we went to this show. We ended up completley missing The International Noise Conspiracy because of the stupid parking situation. They were half the reason I wanted to go the show too. And then there was the band and you will know us by the trail of the dead Aside from being a rather annoying name to say they put on a pretty good show. Kind of odd though, first off I think there were like 12 people in the band. I am not sure though because they all kept switching places. Sometimes one of the drummers (yes thats right I said one of because they had 2 guys with 2 full sets of drums on stage..and a gong…and chimes) was a singer and a guitar player and the other singer guitar player was a drummer. And then came the smashing. Ive never seen roadies put to work so much. Resetting up mics and drums etc. Then at the end the guitarist just threw his guitar right at the drums and almost smashed him right in the face. I think that made the drummer mad so he started picking up drums and throwing them. The whole set ended with a pile of various musical instruments and a bunch of roadies who looked like they wanted to ask for a raise. But Ill tell you one thing, you cant say they dont have intensity…
